This beautiful Florida
vacation rental home is in a very upscale quiet residential
community where you can relax and enjoy your vacation. It is
very nice inside with sliding glass doors that lead to a large screened in porch
overlooking the private pool in the
back yard.
All linens are supplied. This is a very nice
home. All you need is your tooth brush and your clothes.
This is a very complete vacation home with all the comforts of home.

This ariel photo shows the Florida vacation home and the community
that it resides in. As you can see, it is very close to the Gulf of
Mexico. It is just "far enough" down the canal to provide
the docks and boats protection from waves during the occasional
thunder storm.
There are about 1800 homes in this Gulfside community with the vast
majority of them on the water. Some of the homes are on the golf
course, and these are not on the water.

The beautiful Little Mermaid Florida vacation home has been
completely remodeled. The sunny skys and palm trees are typical of
the days in Florida.
This is an executive class home. The tile roof, which is rarly seen
up north, helps keep the house cool in the summer time.
Your vacation in this beautiful home will be one that your family
will remember for years to come. Our guests tell us that the will

 This
picture shows the great room in this Florida vacation home. The
open kitchen is to the left and the living/den area with windows
overlooking the swimming pool and the yachts that are moored in the
canal. Just to the left of center of the picture are sliding glass
doors that lead to the screened in porch which also has table and
chairs for enjoying the view. Note the porcelain tile that is
throughout the house.

 The kitchen has
been remodeled with new countertops and barstools. You can just see
the "island" on the left of the picture. With the dining
table that seats 6 and the barstools, it is easy to serve 10 or
more people in this home.
The kitchen is fully supplied with all eating utensils, dishes, glasses, etc.
Typically, one of the first things that our guest families do is go to the
grocery store, which is a short 5 minute drive from the house.

"Master Bedroom"
The Master bedroom has a new king size bed, and an ajoining
bathroom.
To the right, out of the picture is a large closed with sliding
closet doors.
The view through the sliding glass doors is of the water and the
boats that are moored there.

"The Captains Room"
The second bedroom is queen size bed. This picture is a little
underexposed to show the two stained glass windows at the head of the
bed. One picture, is of course a sail boat and the other on the right is a
Light House.

"Crews Quarters"
This is the third bedroom. It has a set of bunk beds and it also has a
day bed with a trundle bed that slides underneath it.

windows that overlook the swimming pool.

The window on the other side of the sliding glass doors is a
"pass thru" into the kitchen. Great for handing
beverages out to folks in the screen room. Also
notice the gas bar-b-q grill with the black cover on it in against
the far wall.

Great Fishing
The gentleman on the left caught these 2 HUGH Speckled Sea Trout
(Specks) within 1/2 mile of the Little Mermaid vacation
home. You can bring your boat or use ours.
The fellow on the right is Rich Knox, one of the premier fishing
guides on this coast of Florida.

This is the Gulf Harbors
Beach Club. It is a private beach with cabanas, BBQ grills and picnic tables.
This is MUCH NICER than anything at Clearwater beach. When you go
to Clearwater beach, there are NO picnic tables, NO BBQs. If you want to be in
the shade, you have to "rent the shade" from an umbrella vendor
!. An you can drive right up to the beach here. At Clearwater, you
have to pay to park then walk and walk and walk to get to the
beach.

and I both work during the day, so it will be evening before I can get
back to you. I generally check and reply to my e-mails twice each day,
around 6:00am and again around 7:00pm. I have an automated
response that you will get almost instantly, and I will get a copy of
your e-mail which I will reply to in the evening when I get home.

These numbers ring into our home. Both Suzanne and I work during the

If you call us during the day you will have to leave us a message (our
Rottie "Goosebumps" has not yet learned to answer questions
about our rental homes) and we will be happy to give you a call back
when we get home in the evening.

11:00pm Florida time.

Here is how to reserve this home.
Here is the procedure that we go through
- Select which of our homes your like.
- Check availability and pricing on our calendar.
- email me your choices of homes and the dates.
Subject of your contract should be
PLEASE SEND ME A CONTRACT.

- When I get home in the evening, I will e-mail you a contract for
the home and the time period you are interested in.
- Print out the contract. If you have any question, you can either
call me or e-mail me with your questions. Be sure to fill in your
name and address on the contract legibly as this is the address
that I send the breakage deposit back to after you leave.
- Sign the Contract and Mail me contract and check.

- I operate on a first come, first serve basis. So you may want to
overnight this contract back to me.
If it is a "last minute" reservation, you may want to use
www.paypal.com to send me the payment, and put the contract in the
regular mail. For those of you who do not know, paypal is the
service that eBAY uses for its auctions. It has been around for
about 5 years and is very dependable. To send me payment, just send
the payment to my e-mail address at dfickes1@tampabay.rr.com.
If you use paypal, they charge an extra 3% for processing the
payment, so you must add the 3% to the amount you send me so I will
receive the full amount.
- When I receive your contract and check I will send you a complete
"welcome kit" that includes maps and directions from the
airport and for driving from the north
- Then I will confirm your reservation by doing the following
- Updating my web site to show your reservation
- Send you a reservation confirmation e-mail
- The confirmation e-mail has the following details
- Driving direction from the north.
- Driving directions from Tampa Airport.
- Address and phone number of the vacation home.
- Directions to the closest beach.
- Directions to several other beaches in the area including
- Sunset Beach
- Howard Park Beach
- Anclote River Beach and boat launch
- Honeymoon Island State Park/beach
- Directions to the closest swimming pool
- Directions to the closest Supermarket about 1 mile away
- The combination to the lockbox and instructions on getting the
door key and letting yourself into the vacation home. There is
no need for you and I to meet before you let yourself in.
